Murphy's Steakhouse

An Indianapolis landmark, Murphy's Steakhouse has been serving customers since the 1970's.It was built in the the 1950's as a Frische's Big Boy with outdoor curb service. In the 1960's the restaurant changed hands and became Calloway's Steakhouse. In 1977 Jim Murphy purchased the restaurant ,renaming it Murphy's Steakhouse. The Stonebraker's took ownership in 1990 , preserving the Murphy's name and the integrity of being family owned and operated. We pride ourselves on the quality of our food, the warm, inviting atmosphere and our friendly wait staff.
Many of our customers return bringing their children and now their grandchildren to Murphy's for lunch or dinner. Our trademark hand cut steaks, hot salad, shrimp cocktails and blackberry cobbler are just a few of the menu items that keep customers coming back for more. Much of our interior and decor has been preserved to savor the look and feel of the 1960's style restaurant. The service is personal, the environment welcoming and our menu prices are competitive and remain affordable. We are smoke free and have a family friendly section as well as a bar and outdoor patio. We have a private back banquet room, which is available for private parties, large dinner groups and special events. We offer off-site catering services as well.
